How much of a difference is there between Pokemon Pearl and Pokemon Platinum?
I used to have Pokemon Pearl, and beat it (got the national pokedex, beat the elite four, all that jazz), and sold it after i grew tired of pokemon. Recently i got back into the pokemon games after beginning to play Pokemon Emerald, and decided i wanted to get a pokemon game for my DS. i want to get platinum, rather than the new heartgold/soulsilver because im already in the middle of one of the classic games (emerald), and decided id rather play through a newer adventure. But i was just wondering; how much of a difference is there between pearl and platnium, as far as storyline, features and pokemon? Also, even though its been about a year or two since i last played pearl, will platinum be worth while to play through? Please and thank you.
Oh yeah. Platinum is much different from pearl, and you’ll get way more mileage out of it than you did pearl. There’s visual changes to all of the gyms, plus gym leader rematches and five new, really strong trainers that will take a while to beat. As well as the visual changes to the entire region as well, there’s a new feature: the Sinnoh Battle frontier, similar to that of Emerald but with five new facilities adapted to the new games. It’s very fun and challenging, and a lot more storyline to it. If you’re thinking about getting it, you definitely should.
